TREE DEDICATION at the entrance to Woodland Drive on Red Lion Hill, followed by refreshments in St. Marys
Church.

BELL RINGING FESTIVAL at St. Marys Church
Two opportunities
to join in the celebrations
Arrive from 9.00pm
to see the lighting of the Brixton beacon / bonfire at South West Composting
Site to help us to celebrate lighting the chain of beacons across the country. Car parking available or walk from Cherry
Tree Drive footpath or Lodge Lane to the Community Composting Site where
marshals will guide the way. Bring your
own torch.
Alternatively come out
on your doorstep at 9.30pm, greet your neighbours, and shine your torch
or lantern at 9.45pm to start the celebrations
FRIDAY
3rd June
2.30pm
Venn Court is hosting a barbecue in their gardens - Brixton families (children
accompanied by an adult) welcome to join in the fun, including 'Hunt the Corgi'
- a soft toy corgi will be waiting to be found.
Some places in
Brixton also plan to have their own street party
SATURDAY
4th June

THE BIG PICNIC – in the grounds of St Mary Brixton School (indoors if raining). Bring your own rug to sit on and picnic and
share some fun including children’s games from the 1950s, dressing up (eco
friendly, homemade!) in any period over the last 70 years or royal themes -
prizes for best fancy dresses. Teas,
coffees, soft drinks available and lots of fun.
SUNDAY

Come to the Service of Thanksgiving at St. Mary’s Church with community
organisations represented.
